Did You Know?

Christmas is not just a one-day thing, it is a season! (A season of the Church.) The season of Christmas traditionally starts on December 25th- the birth of Jesus, and ends on February 2nd- Candlemas/ Purification of Our Lady. It ends on this day because it marks 40 days after Christmas Day, fulfilling the biblical requirement for Mary's purification and Jesus' presentation in the Temple.
